He Yi Dao Wellness Program at CBN - Covello Older Adult Center
The Healing Circle Foundation partnered with the Carter Burden Network to launch the six-week He Yi Dao Wellness Program, blending movement, mindfulness, and community support. Designed to enhance balance, mobility, and emotional well-being, the pilot proved seniors benefit deeply from holistic wellness and set the stage for citywide expansion.

Negative Energy Detox Meditation for Educator Wellness
To prepare educators for the upcoming school year, The Healing Circle Foundation’s founder, Teacher Lu Xia, led a Negative Energy Detox Meditation during a special staff wellness session at HUM IV Charter High School. This practice was designed to help staff release stress and negative energy from the mind, body, and spirit, restoring clarity and balance.

Community Wellness in East New York
In partnership with Good Shepherd Services and the East Brooklyn Emergency Response Collaborative, The Healing Circle Foundation shared the He Yi Dao Wellness Program at a community wellness event in East New York. Through guided movement and mindfulness, participants experienced a unique practice that supports balance, resilience, and whole-person wellness as part of a day of arts, music, and community care.

Energy Spiritual Dance at Dance Theatre of Harlem
The Healing Circle Foundation was honored to present Energy Spiritual Dance to the Dance Theatre of Harlem’s teaching artists as part of their professional development programming. This unique practice blends movement and cosmic energy to support dancers’ physical recovery, prevent injury, renew energy, and foster mind-body-spirit connection. Designed to enhance artistry and resilience, the session offered practical tools that teaching artists can integrate into their curriculum to nurture both themselves and their students.

He Yi Dao Wellness for Older Adults
In partnership with Dance Entropy and the SelfHelp Older Adult Community Center, The Healing Circle Foundation piloted the He Yi Dao Wellness Program—a six-week initiative blending movement, mindfulness, dance, rhythm, and community connection. Designed to enhance balance, mobility, and emotional well-being, the program brought joy, resilience, and renewed health to seniors, many of whom requested its continuation.

He Yi Dao Wellness Residency at Ravenswood Older Adult Center
In partnership with Dance Entropy and the Ravenswood Older Adult Community Center, The Healing Circle Foundation piloted the He Yi Dao Wellness Program—a 6-week and 4-week residency blending movement, mindfulness, rhythm, and community connection. The residency concluded with two uplifting performances: one featuring seniors and another sharing of Energy Spiritual Dance. Participants reported improved mobility, reduced stress, and greater joy, with many requesting continued sessions. This pilot highlighted the power of collaboration to deliver meaningful wellness outcomes for older adults.

Restorative Healing Event
The Healing Circle Foundation hosted a Restorative Healing Event for donors and partners, offering personalized health consultations, tailored TCM-based regimens, and a special Negative Energy Detox Course led by Teacher Lu Xia. With Energized TCM teas, herbal steam, and nourishing food, participants experienced renewal in mind, body, and spirit—leaving with practical tools and individualized assignments to continue building positive energy for their health and careers.

Residency at Hum IV Charter High School
The Healing Circle Foundation donors sponsored Teacher Lu Xia’s special four-week residency at Hum IV Charter High School, where she worked with students, staff, leadership, and families. Through Energy Spiritual Dance, counseling, and holistic guidance, Teacher Lu Xia helped the school community release negative energy, strengthen resilience, and restore harmony. Students performed a closing Energy Spiritual Dance piece to uplift humanity, staff gained renewed perspective on wellness and work-life balance, and families learned tools to support their children with compassion. The residency left the community feeling lighter, more connected, and empowered—culminating in Teacher Lu Xia being honored as a Spiritual Mentor.

Spring Into Health Fair – Bronx
The Healing Circle Foundation was invited to host a table at the Spring Into Health Fair in the Bronx, presented in collaboration with Phillips Neighborhoods PNJ Beacon, the Department of Youth and Community Development, and local healthcare partners. The event connected residents with resources for better living, while The Healing Circle Foundation provided free holistic health consultations, books, and educational materials, empowering the community with tools for mind-body-spirit wellness.

Empowering Caregivers: A Wellness Partnership
In collaboration with the SHOPP Caregivers Program, The Healing Circle Foundation led an interactive workshop supporting caregivers with practical tools to renew mind, body, and spirit. Through He Yi Dao practice, dialogue, and shared wisdom from Power Within: Unlocking a High-Potential Energy Life, participants learned simple methods to calm the mind, strengthen resilience, and find balance. The session created a safe, open space where real stories were shared, and caregivers left feeling uplifted and re-energized.

Preventative Care & He Yi Dao Wellness with Harlem Men’s Club 60+
The Healing Circle Foundation was invited to the Harlem Men’s Club 60+ to share preventative care strategies and introduce the He Yi Dao Wellness Program as an actionable tool for better health. Teacher Lu Xia offered personalized guidance for men on sustaining vitality, including simple daily practices to strengthen energy and improve well-being. Participants enjoyed both the He Yi Dao session and the open dialogue on how to create a healthier, more sustainable community.

He Yi Dao Elderly Dance Enrichment Program
The Healing Circle Foundation hosted a four-week He Yi Dao Elderly Dance Enrichment Program at the Pomonok Older Adult Community Center. Through gentle, accessible movement, mindful breathing, and wellness education, participants gained tools for relaxation, resilience, and self-care. Teacher Lu Xia also offered a special wellness session on nutrition, daily routines, preventative care, and mental health—empowering seniors to nurture both body and mind. The program provided not only exercise but also psychological comfort, helping older adults build inner strength, face solitude, and foster community connection.

Holistic Health & Healing Expo
The Healing Circle Foundation was honored to participate in the Holistic Health & Healing Expo, the premier natural wellness event in South Jersey and Philadelphia. Teacher Lu Xia opened the Expo with a special session for all attendees and later led a transformative Energy Elevation Meditation and dialogue workshop, guiding participants to release negative energy and cultivate inner strength. Guests also experienced Energy TCM Teas, foot soaks, and herbal fumigation, along with opportunities to join the powerful Negative Energy Detox Course. Together, these offerings introduced participants to accessible practices for holistic healing, balance, and sustainable wellness.


Staff Wellness for Educator Resilience

Embracing Well-being Program: A Partnership between The Healing Circle Foundation & The Floating Hospital
The Healing Circle Foundation partnered with The Floating Hospital to launch the Embracing Well-being Program, a pilot fostering mindfulness, self-awareness, and resilience through dialogue, shared learning, and community connection. The inaugural session, Cultivating Mindfulness and Self-Awareness, combined guided He Yi Dao movement, simple wellness practices, and open reflection to promote holistic wellness and strengthen community bonds.

Thriving Through Transition: Mental Health Strategies For Older Adults During Changes - Community Forum at CBN - Covello Older Adult Center
In collaboration with CBN Covello Older Adult Program and Northwell Mental Health Hospital in Harlem, The Healing Circle Foundation launched a pilot community forum, Thriving Through Transition: Mental Health Strategies During U.S. Policy Shifts. This culturally responsive initiative provided older adults with practical tools for resilience, mental wellness, and preventative care. Through discussion, nutritional guidance, and the He Yi Dao Wellness Program—a blend of mindful movement, dance, and joy—participants learned strategies to release stress, strengthen emotional balance, and stay healthy in times of change.

Caring Culture Grant: Staff & Faculty Wellness at NYU
With support from NYU’s Caring Culture Grant, Lead Instructor Melissa Moore of The Healing Circle Foundation led a special staff wellness initiative for administrators, faculty, and students. Through He Yi Dao movement, Energy Spiritual Dance, and teachings from The Power Within: Face to Face with Your Subconscious Mind, participants gained tools to release stress, strengthen resilience, and foster work-life balance. This initiative directly supported NYU’s goals to address burnout, build compassion, and create a sustainable culture of workplace well-being.
