He Yi Dao Wellness Residency at Rego Park: Queens Community House Older Adult Center
In partnership with Dance Entropy and the Queens House Rego Park Older Adult Community Center, The Healing Circle Foundation piloted the He Yi Dao Wellness Program—a six-week initiative blending movement, mindfulness, dance, rhythm, and community connection. Designed to enhance balance, mobility, and emotional well-being, the program brought joy, resilience, and renewed health to seniors, many of whom requested its continuation.
Program Overview
This innovative initiative blended gentle movement, mindfulness, rhythm, singing, and community engagement created a holistic experience that supported seniors’ physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Through guided He Yi Dao sessions led by trained instructors, participants learned tools to improve balance, increase mobility, and reduce stress. The program also incorporated dance and rhythm to foster joy and connection, helping older adults feel renewed and energized.
