Community Wellness in East New York
In partnership with Good Shepherd Services and the East Brooklyn Emergency Response Collaborative, The Healing Circle Foundation shared the He Yi Dao Wellness Program at a community wellness event in East New York. Through guided movement and mindfulness, participants experienced a unique practice that supports balance, resilience, and whole-person wellness as part of a day of arts, music, and community care.
The Healing Circle Foundation (THCF) was honored to collaborate with Good Shepherd Services and the East Brooklyn Emergency Response Collaborative (EBC) to bring holistic healing to the East New York community. As part of a dynamic community wellness event themed Arts | Movement | Music | Food, THCF offered a He Yi Dao movement wellness session, providing participants with a powerful practice to release stress, restore balance, and strengthen resilience.
Trained instructors from THCF guided community members through gentle, accessible movement combined with mindfulness, helping participants reconnect with their inner calm while fostering a sense of connection with others. The session was intentionally designed to be inclusive and supportive, ensuring people of all backgrounds and physical abilities could participate.
This collaboration highlighted the importance of partnership-driven wellness programming. THCF, GSS, and EBC worked together to coordinate outreach, event logistics, and promotion, ensuring strong engagement and a safe, welcoming environment for all attendees.
