
Hope Staff Wellness Program
In partnership with The HOPE Program, The Healing Circle Foundation launched a four-week He Yi Dao Wellness Pilot to support the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of frontline staff serving New Yorkers in Brooklyn and the Bronx. Through gentle movement, breathwork, meditation, and facilitated wellness circles, the program offered trauma-sensitive, accessible tools to reduce stress, restore energy, and build resilience—strengthening the well-being of those who dedicate their lives to empowering others.
The Healing Circle Foundation proudly partnered with The HOPE Program to deliver a four-week He Yi Dao Wellness Pilot Program designed to support the holistic well-being of HOPE staff across its Brooklyn and Bronx locations. Grounded in the shared belief that staff wellness is foundational to long-term organizational success, this collaboration created a restorative space for participants to reset, reconnect, and renew.
Held as a series of in-person lunchtime sessions, the program integrated He Yi Dao (“The Path of Harmony”), gentle movement practices accessible to all abilities, alongside guided breathwork, meditation, and facilitated community wellness circles. Each session was intentionally designed to be trauma-sensitive and culturally inclusive, offering practical tools staff could apply immediately in their daily work and personal lives.
To ensure the program directly addressed participant needs, pre-program surveys identified common stress points, fatigue patterns, and areas of interest. Throughout the series, facilitators integrated real workplace scenarios into the sessions, helping staff explore how to regulate stress, restore energy, and build emotional resilience in demanding environments. Post-program surveys captured meaningful outcomes, including shifts in stress levels, focus, energy, and overall well-being, while also informing recommendations for future program expansion.
