Celtic, Greek, and European Traditions
In some Celtic traditions, foxes are linked with Brigid, a goddess associated with healing, poetry, fertility, and the hearth. In Greek mythology, foxes are connected to Dionysus, god of ecstasy, wine, and transformation.
In many European folk traditions, the fox is a classic trickster figure. It teaches that wit can overcome force, but also reminds us that intelligence must be used wisely.
Indigenous and Other Traditions
