Jacob “Seven” Melvin

Jacob “Seven” Melvin is a mystical mover and world-builder born out of Raleigh, NC. Deeply invested in the arts as health and wellness practice they have most recently been studying under Master Lu Xia along with other spiritual adepts in order to establish a deep practice to infuse into their work in the arts. This passion was fueled during their time dancing with both Mark Stuart Dance Theater and Kristin Sudeikis Dance here in New York City. Both of which led to appearances alongside artist Ben Harper, and a feature in the film Worth starring Micheal Keaton. Other work includes the music video for Hope by Blood Orange as well as independent film Saturday Church directed by Damon Cardasis. Presently you can find them sailing the seven seas as a dancer onboard Virgin Voyages combining their passion for world traveling and performance for the last 5 years. This opportunity to participate with WHDC could not have come at a better time for Seven. Since they began with the Healing Circle Foundation back in 2020 it served as a catalyst for them to pursue their dancing career in the fullest health. So it feels so appropriate to come back and share the stage with this foundation as they take the opportunity to expand into the performance world.
